Ultrahigh strong fiber PE boards+Anti-explosive adhesive tape

PE bulletproof guard board: Ultrahigh fiber polyethylene (PE) is a kind of new-type thermoplastic material and its bulletproof guard board is created after high density polyethylene adheres to polyethylene fiber of one-way ultra-high molecular weight. Sheet is cut, molded and compressed under high temperature and pressure to become adhesive hard armor plate. For ultrahigh fiber polyethylene, the polyethylene is melted by friction arising from bullet rotation so as to “stick to” the bullet. After the bullet stops rotating, no heat will be generated and polyethylene will be cooled down and hardened again. Ultrahigh fiber polyethylene (PE) has a density of 0.97-0.98 g/cm3, which is much lower than the steel guard board and ceramic bulletproof guard board (Limited by the material technology, pure PE bulletproof guard board can only reach the protection grade up to NIJⅢ, which is unable to defend the bullets such as rifle and armor-piercing bullets with greater force).

a. High specific strength and high specific modulus. The specific strength is more than 10 times the equivalent sectional steel wires and the specific modulus ranks only second to special-grade carbon fiber.

b. Low fiber density and it can be floated on the water surface.

c. Low breaking elongation and high work of fracture. It has outstanding shock resistance toughness and cutting resistance performance due to strong capability of energy absorption.

d. Uvioresistant, anti-neutron and y-ray, high specific energy absorption, low dielectric constant and high electromagnetic wave transmissivity.

e. Resistance to chemical attack, abrasive resistance and long flexing life.

Anti-explosive adhesive tape uses ultrahigh fiber polyethylene as substrates and the tapes, which is of great convenience and it can also repair the damage of protective structures and reinforce the structure in emergency circumstances with high tenacity, corrosion resistance and abrasive resistance.
